2021 Fall Wine Weekend with Terry Theise and Debbie Zachereas
We are thrilled to be joined by two nationally acclaimed wine experts. Terry is a James Beard Award winning author and has accolades from Food & Wine, Wine Spectator, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate and Wine & Spirits. Debbie is is the Proprietor and Managing Partner at the Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant in San Francisco's restored Ferry Building, the Oxbow Cheese & Wine Merchant in downtown Napa, and Mission Bay Wine & Cheese in San Francisco.
We are excited to explore the wines of Germany and Austria over the course of the weekend with a wine 101 style introduction, a sampling of sparkling wines and some in depth food and wine pairings.
Our Culinary Farm Stays begin with your arrival at the farm Friday afternoon. Settle into your rooms then join us in the early evening for an introduction to Debbie and Terry and the wines we'll be spending the weekend with. You'll quickly be captivated by their deep knowledge of these wines and their stories of personal connection to them. Our Friday night welcome dinner highlights the farm's fresh produce and other ingredients from our farm neighbors.
Saturday begins with breakfast and our farm activities. Farm Manager Adam Buggy will lead you into the fields for an in depth look at all that happens in our 2 acre garden. From there we'll have a full day of gathering, preparing and eating with plenty of time to rest and enjoy the property as well. The day will culminate in our hands-on cooking class where we'll bring together the days experiences to create a delicious meal. Again, we'll be pairing our meal with wines selected by Debbie and Terry.
Sunday will start with coffee and pastries. You are welcome to lend a hand with farm chores or brunch preparations or have a quiet morning to yourself. Brunch will include a tasting of sparkling wines. Guests are welcome to explore the property for the afternoon. And the evening's meal will be a casual celebration of all we've touched on throughout the weekend.
Farm Stay Details:
Our beautiful rooms rates for three nights are $1700 single occupancy, $2400 double occupancy.
The cost for our wine pairings for the weekend will be an additional $250 per person.
Rates are inclusive of lodging, meals, beverages and educational activities. We are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions.
We have several adjoining rooms available if you are coming with friends or relatives or chose or "chicken coop", which offers the most privacy.
At this time we ask that all guests are vaccinated against Covid-19 to ensure the safety of our staff and guests.
